The auction
Synopsis
They land in a floating auction house where everything gets sold, including things nobody put up for sale. By the time they notice, the booth is lot number seven.
Plot
They have no money, so they have to sell the only thing they have: the cat. Which the cat takes very badly, and then very well. Adventure, no lesson: they cheat, the room turns on them, the cat wins the auction and they leave with less than they came with.
