Synopsis
The needle sticks between grooves, the booth stops travelling and starts receiving. The episode is channel surfing.
Plot
The engine is Off the Air's: no plot at all. The only thing holding it together is that on every channel somebody is selling something. The running joke, and the only thread: the two of them keep turning up inside the channels as extras. They are the audience in a game show, the couple in a mattress advert, two pedestrians behind a reporter, the hands in a cookery programme. Nobody on any channel acknowledges them and they never get to be the point of anything.

The salesman, alone on the studio set with the lights off and his jacket off, sits on the edge of the table holding the breathing grey lump in both hands. The lump opens both eyelids and looks up at him. He lifts it onto his shoulder like a baby and pats it twice.
Trivia and continuity
There is no want, no rule, no guest who pays and no lesson. There is a man selling a thing, and then another man selling another thing. The last channel is their own booth, filmed from outside, with somebody else sitting in it.
